Being Jewish - An Identity Crisis?
As the news programs report ever-growing anti-Jewish and anti-Israel
sentiments around the world, the question of Jewish Identity is more
pertinent than ever. Who and what is Jewish? Does "Jewish" connote a
people? A nationality? A religion? A race? A culture?
All of the above: Together and individually. But what does it all
mean?
Numerous publications; books, magazines, periodicals, and more
examine and explore Judaism, it's history, philosophy, literature,
and religious traditions. (For a sample reading,

The journey begins!
The focus of this installment of the Mazonet Book Review is three
fold:
The works selected range from a humorous glimpse into the Zen
appeal, to a fictional portrayal of a family in crisis, spiritually
and otherwise, and the last - a heated intellectual discussion
between two rabbis seeking the "absolute truth."
